I have been having fun teaching my young daughters to read. But I thought I would give the baby flash cards a try. I loved them! We had so much fun playing with the cards.
We used the First Words Flashcards for creating stories. We spread the cards out and sorted them. We gave the boy all the farm animals and planes. We pretended the dad was a farmer. The mom sold our favorite Usborne Books just like me, so we gave her the car and the table for a desk. The baby was given the cards with the shoes and the dress. We all had a lot of fun!
Or, you may choose to start teaching your baby to read through sensory awareness, using the Touchy-feely Flashcards. Your child will enjoy touching and feeling each of the cards while learning to recognize and understand the words. My youngest daughter loves babies.
