Looking to teach your children responsibilities?

Children Responsibilities is an important life skill for them to learn!

We all want to raise responsible children! Unfortunately, we are going to have to let them grow up and be on their own one day. So, it is important to teach them to be responsible children early so they will grow into wonderful adults later.

The age (both actual and emotional) of your children determines how much responsibility you can give them. Each family is different so the decision is up to you! I am just trying to give you ideas.

To help make learning their chores more fun for them, I would recommend the Melissa and Doug Responsibility Chart.

Here are some responsibilities for kids:

Make their bed
Clean their room

Empty the dishwasher
Set the table for dinner
Clear their plate after dinner

Carry out the garbage

Carry the laundry downstairs
Sort the laundry (This is kind of fun. My four year old likes to help with sorting the clothes by colors.)
Help with laundry
Put their laundry away

Walk the dog or take care of your pets
Do their homework
Help clean up their toys

Rewarding your children for completing their chores:

Each family is a bit different. Chores might just be a part of their daily life and responsibilities. Others may feel like chores should be rewarded with an allowance.

This is up to you. I wish you all the best. Parenting is not as easy job!
