Children's Book: Oh! The Places You Will Go by Dr. Suess
As a former English teacher, I used to begin the year by asking my high school students about their favorite childrens' book. I loved that activity because it always got them so excited and reminded them how much they loved reading. Childrens' books are precious in that they will forever hold a special place in the child's heart!

My favorite children's book (Boy! this decision was a tough one!) has to be Oh! The Places You Will Go by Dr. Suess. My little boys love it for the fanciful illustrations and silly rhymes and my high school students loved it for the message of eternal optimism and the beauty that the future holds. It is a timeless classic childrens' book that makes you smile and laugh whether you are 9 or 99.
