Are you looking to help others raise money or obtain books? Host an Usborne Book’s childrens fundraiser to raise money for others! This is a great opportunity to give back to a local children’s hospital, family in need, local children’s home, or families being sponsored by your church or organization.
Unfortunately many poor children do not have their own home library. It is not only important for children to learn to read but also to have ownership of books!
This is a great way to teach your children the importance of giving to others! Get them involved in the children’s fundraiser, sending out the invitations to friends and relatives. I am sure your fundraiser will be successful!
Usborne Book’s Literacy for a Lifetime Program
Literacy for a Lifetime has received over $506,000 since the program started, and is proud to be partners with the following organizations.
The Laura Bush Foundation for America’s Libraries
Kiwanis International
How Literacy for a Lifetime works:
You or your business makes a donation to an educational institution, which is then forwarded to the Educational Development Corporation (EDC) for the matching grant portion.
Your donation made to the educational institution is tax deductible to corporations, individuals, and foundations.
If your donation is for more than $500.00 dollars, it will be matched by 50% from EDC for the purchase of Usborne Books. For example, a donation of $1,000 dollars will result in $1,500 in Usborne Books to the charity of your choice.
The organization receiving the books has full control over choosing their selection of books from over 1300 different Usborne Books titles.
The matching grant program can be used as often as donations and grants become available. There is no cap on the amount that can be donated or matched by EDC.
Let us help you again next year!
You and the children will enjoy these fundraising events so much that you will be coming back year after year! The first year you may need the books to build on your school’s library. Next year let us raise money for that new playground you need. The children will look forward to that time of year that they can participate in the “Reach for the Stars” reading incentive program or Usborne “Reading is A Gift” book fair.
Children’s sticker books: Look no further for a way to make learning fun and exciting, children love sticker books! These are a great way to teach children numbers, letters, facts about the world, dogs, horses, history and more! I am sure your kids will love them as much as mine do!
