Childrens Window Treatments

Here are some great ideas and tips for choosing childrens window treatments!

We all love sleep, so one thing you will want to keep in mind for your window coverings are blackout curtains or shades! We want our kids’ bedrooms to be nice and dark so the little ones can get a great night’s sleep.

Another advantage of blackout shades is that most of them are fairly energy efficient. They will help keep in hot air in the winter and cool air in the summer.

Be careful if you are considering purchasing long curtains or blinds. You will not want to place these items too close to the baby’s bed.

Be careful too with long cords on blinds, these should be kept wrapped up or out of reach of the babies and toddlers.

A nice patterned valance to match your kid's bedding is perfect for a baby’s room. Then, just add nice simple blackout shade to help keep out the sun.

I personally have not had much luck with mini blinds in our bedrooms. I have found that they let too much light in during nap time. Plus, they are really good at collecting dust.

I hope you find these tips helpful! Click here to learn more information about decorating your room and childrens window treatments.
