You can make a party of it, by asking friends to each bring several non-perishable items to donate to hungry children. 2. Host a vendor fair at your house with several different work-at-home businesses. At the end of the sale, each of them can donate a percentage of their sales back to you to help pay for food for the poor. 3. If you have extra time on your hands, you could volunteer at your local food pantry. These are community-based organizations which help your friends and neighbors.
