Hunger in Children

It is so sad to think of all of the hungry children in this world! They are the smallest and most innocent victims of this problem. So, let’s help fight for them.

I would be so grateful if you’d be willing to take a few minutes to learn about some of these simple ways to help:

The Hunger Site

Okay …. This one is really simple. Just visit the following website and a simple click a day can help! The sponsors of this site will donate food to the poor and hungry. So, please just visit their website, The Hunger Site, and click to give.

FreeRice.com

If you like Trivial Pursuit, you’ll love this site. For every question you answer correctly, the sponsors donate 20 grains of rice through the UN World Food Program to help fight hunger. The questions are both challenging and fun. After hearing about this game, I just had to give it a try. I had a great time playing it and you will too. But look out! It’s addictive! Check it out at: freerice.com

Here are a few more ways you can help fight hunger in children:

1. Have your own food drive and donate the food to your local pantry. You can make a party of it, by asking friends to each bring several non-perishable items to donate to hungry children.

2. Host a vendor fair at your house with several different work-at-home businesses. At the end of the sale, each of them can donate a percentage of their sales back to you to help pay for food for the poor.

3. If you have extra time on your hands, you could volunteer at your local food pantry. These are community-based organizations which help your friends and neighbors. The work they do is extremely important, and they can use all the help you can give them!

Thanks for taking some time for those in need! I am sure they’ll appreciate all the help.
