Childrens Mothers Day Activities
Childrens Mothers Days Activities!
Are you getting ready for a Childrens Mothers Day Activities? Maybe I can help you. … Today, I had a special day at my daughter’s school. Her teacher Mrs. Pult put together a very nice Mother’s day tea for her students and thier moms.
We were sent home an invitation in the homework packet. This was not fancy. The teacher just wanted to make sure we were coming. She made sure each student brought a mother, grandmother or special care giver. The celebration lasted a little over an hour. It was so special!
Childrens Mothers Day Activities:
Mother’s Day Hat
The students each made a mother’s day fancy hats out of a paper plate and bowl covering them with squares of tissue paper. Then she added a sting so we could tie it on.
Mother’s Day Pin
Darling idea! The students used small white dollies were nicely transformed into fancy pins. Just glue on tissue paper rolled in balls (or sticking up) and add a safety pin to the back.
Mother’s Card
Of course, no holiday is complete without that specially created card with a nice picture drawn by your child with handwritten note.
The Actual Mother’s Day Tea Party
First all the mom’s lined up outside the class and were welcomed by their child one at a time. The children kissed us and curtsy or bowed and took our hand to escort us the special guest to the child’s seat.
We were then welcomed and had a few minutes to visit while everyone was seated! We were also presented with our wonderful gifts! (card, pin, hat, question air) Their teacher decorated the classroom so nicely with lots of pastel colored table clothes with flower cut outs on the table. Each spot was set with pink napkins and a cup. It was just darling!!!
Let’s the Mother's Day Activities begin …
We were served apple juice as pretend tea and cookies. The list of cookies was written on the dry erase board. The children asked us what kind of cookies we would like and went up to their teacher to get us our cookies. It was such a nice treat to see them be so responsible and get food for us.
Then, the students read and recited two little Mother’s Day poems they have been learned in school.
It was a lovely day!!!! We had such a special time together!!!!
Oh wait … I need to tell you about one of my favorite parts … The Mother’s Day Questions and answers. The teacher typed up the questions and wrote out the students answers. She pasted this on a pink piece of construction paper to make it look fancy.
Here are the questions:
Why did God make moms?
What does your mom do for work?
What would it take to make your mom perfect?
What is your mom’s favorite drink?
What does your mom like to do in her free time?
What is something your mom doesn’t like?
What drives your mom crazy?
What’s the difference between moms and dads?
What do you love the most about your mom?
As you can imagine, we had some funny answers!!! The teacher shared with a list of the tops answer going back several years. The moms were all cracking up reading all the funny things their children said the moms.
